This took a lot longer than it should’ve. A little over a week in fact and I’m still not entirely happy with it - especially the background - but enough is enough. However, I did enjoy working on the Wolf Predator. You can probably tell I took a couple of liberties with his design. For example his movie counterpart doesn’t have a shoulder guard and fishnet covering his right arm. Neither did he have a human skull trophy hanging by his waist, but I wanted him to have one just for the heck of it. Even the slain Alien/Xenomorph’s head dome is not movie accurate, because I favour Giger’s original biomech design - it’s sexier.

Numerous references were used to paint this, including my own Predator and Alien action figures. For the lighting in the tunnels I actually had to study up on how light works in this kind of environment with so much blasted water around. Even learned a little chemistry along the way. Much inspiration came from the works of Narin and Joe Dunaway. They make amazingly detailed Predator maquettes, which I’ll probably never get to own. Meh.

So, hope all you AVP:Requiem fans like. Just for the record, though: the movie sucked XD

UPDATE: As a thank you gesture for the DD I present to you a comprehensive walkthru of this painting. WARNING: Lots of reading ahead.

The Cleaner by ~Wulfsbane. From the suggester: "Okay... he might be a great friend and maybe that makes me partial, but you can't deny the killer work he's putting out. Frankly, he's making me nervous! 'The Cleaner' knocks my socks off and leaves me wondering, how in the world is he doing this?" His pieces are incredible and this one is no different, full view to enjoy properly! (Suggested by *Gatling and Featured by ^ArtisticAunJuli)

Just for the record....I couldnt agree with you more. My firends and I are of the opinion that you could have achieved the same result by releasing 20 rabid lions into Dawson's Creek, it probably would have been more interesting. The ONLY highlight of the movie was the bried glimpse of the Predator homeworld. That rocked.

It's an awesome pic, I have no idea how light works in that sort of enviroment, but awesome job, it looks brilliant!

Awesome work, however....how did you think the movie sucked? It rocked

ok i really love what you did here my only point out is that you perhaps should have given some detail onto the tunnel.
the rest looks pretty great specially the skin texture of the predator and the alien's head
ad you said not quite like Ginger's but i still like the texture ;)

BEHOLD!
:iconheartless-nobody:
My favorite part about the movie was that a little kid was one of he first victims. >:B Kids never get the abuse they deserve.

But you did an awesome job here. :D

Would you like to learn to fly?

Would ya.....would you like to see me try??

Dude, this is just awesome in so many, many ways. I've always loved the Predator, and I've also loved the crossover with Aliens -- one of the only crossovers that just makes logical sense. So... in my opinion you captured these two perfectly. And I think it's pretty cool that you felt free to change up their garb/features as you felt fit... I think there should be creative license, especially in fanart. Makes things more interesting! I know I like the human skull addition :D

I really can't think of anything else except... Predator FTW!!! :w00t:

Everyone's kid is so special. Makes you wonder where all the ordinary adults come from.
