And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted - nevermore!
At first I wanted to go for a near likeness of Brandon Lee but there were a few facial features that I wanted my rendition of the Crow to have which he (Brandon) didnt. So I decided to stick with that instead of trying to copy an actual persons face heh. The face actually looks better up close than it does far away, though. Did this about the same time as I was doing the Death Dealer image. Thanks for looking.
The textures on the background does make it look a bit flat, but its no big deal. Loving the crow movie I think this is a great fan art, and I'm glad you went with your own facial features. I particularly like the rough detailing on the window.
Damn that's some sweet moody rendering. Gotta love the tones you've used. If there were a Crow fanart contest, you'd win hands down, or at the very least get very well ranked with this one.
Very nice, the colours are great and look very good.
That raven looks nice the shape and detail of it look just right.
Im going to comment on the window. just to be odd.
Really it dose look veyr nice, the shades and colour look great. I dose look as if it needs a bit of a clean witch i really like.
Now to the figure......
Very nice nose....i hate darwing noses. The colours and shadin of his face looks great, and very good, i really do like the fant outline
of his face, looks very good although i do think it is a bit to strong....but thats me.
There really isnt anything i can crit on.... so i just worte how well you done it...
I still love that poem, even though it seems so cliche now due to overuse lol
So many 'The Crow' fanarts have suddenly popped up in my message centre [a 2 week wait and 150+ messages may help that factor, but eh ] but I can say without a doubt this is the best one
It's good-the light effects bring the whole composition out nicely and I was actually quite fond of the textures lol
Good that you used your own creative license with the actual figure of the Crow nice work
Almost done clearing my excesive amounts of messages now

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
