I've been wanting an excuse to draw and paint Cloud's Hardy Daytona motorcycle since I got the Play Arts set sometime ago. The result is basically an exercise in painting dark atmosphere and backlit characters, keeping things loose for a conceptual art feel.
Obviously since I have the model of the motorcycle I used it as a reference (as well as of Cloud for the back view of the head). I think the Shinra building I referred to was something out of Crisis Core if I'm not mistaken. The time it took to sort out the composition was 3 days in between other drawings. The painting itself only took an entire evening in Photoshop. I'll post the progression images later in the week in my blog. Anyway, thanks for looking (hope it's not too dark for those on CRT monitors  )::UPDATE:: Click here to view the step by steps. No texts or explanations this time around, though. |
