Well, now that I've finally gotten a reprieve for a brief period until the next job comes along, I'm taking this opportunity to work on a personal picture at last. Halfway done with it already in fact. Once I'm through with that I've got a few private commissioned pictures that I need to get back to, those that had to be set aside for the urgent ones that had been streaming in steadily since February. So, to the ones I've agreed to paint for and have yet to show more progress to, I'll be dropping you guys a note soon.

has started up a little
art contest that I'm possibly going to take part in. The theme is dinosaurs versus humans (this ought to peak your interest, Stanton) with the prizes being dA subscriptions and journal features of course. It may not be as prestigious as some of the other contests out there, but it's humble and is the kind of down to earth art activity with some friendly competition that I believe is more enjoyable (less drama, too). And c'mon, who doesn't love dinosaurs?

If you think you got game, click on that link to the article to view the full details.
So you know that I rarely make new posts in my journals or blogs, but I do have a
Twitter account for short and quick updates. By the way, to those who aren't sure what Twitter is, it's simply a kind of social networking site where one can post a simple update on their goings on and such within a sentence (limited under 140 words). Beats having to read through a boring long journal with multiple paragraphs like this one, especially when you don't like reading too much text on screen. If you're interested in keeping updated with me on various topics, you don't necessarily need to register. There's also an alternative to bookmarking. You can subscribe via RSS feed by clicking that little orange icon you would normally see in a corner of a page (it's also in the address bar) provided you're using the latest versions of Firefox.
Or just click here to add me right now. That way you'll receive a live notice whenever something new is posted with a preview. Much more convenient than having to load up several pages just to see if there's anything new posted online.
